About Me
My name is Amelia Gallivan. I am a fully qualified and insured veterinary physiotherapist covering South Wales & and South West England.
Who am I?
In 2021, I proudly graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Zoology. Throughout my academic journey in Bristol, I specialized in animal behaviour, delving into courses such as brains, behaviour and evolution, the acquisition of behaviour, and sensory biology. These subjects deeply fascinated me, sparking an exploration into the intricate world of animal behaviour and the underlying 'how' and 'why' questions. This journey ignited my passion for understanding and improving the lives of animals, aligning seamlessly with my pursuit of a career in veterinary physiotherapy.
After successfully completing my undergraduate studies, I completed the MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy course at Harper Adams University. I was drawn to this course for its emphasis on the practical application of evidence-based physiotherapy. My research project focused on the effect of myofascial release on range of motion.
I am a proud member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) and the Animal Health Professions' Register (AHPR). As an active member of these associations, I adhere to their codes of conduct, maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, and stay abreast of the latest research and schools of thought through continuous professional development (CPD).
